CTL Strategies ranked in the 2022 edition of Chambers and Partners

CTL Strategies has been ranked in the Chambers Global Guide 2022, published by the Chambers and Partners.

CTL Strategies has now been ranked by Chambers and Partners for two consecutive years. The new ranking in Band 2, marks an upgrade for the firm with the firm moving from Band 3 within two years. The new edition of the Global Guide highlighted the Supreme Court decision in MIRA v Maldives Quality Seafood Pvt Ltd, whereby the firm’s team led by Partner and Senior Counsel Fathuhulla Ismail successfully represented the respondent preventing the issuance of a stay order on the enforcement of a decision by the Tax Appeal Tribunal. The Supreme Court decision is notable for establishing precedent relating to the rules on stay of enforcement orders and for setting aside its earlier Writ of Prohibition. Among responses received from interviewees, Chamber and Partners quoted that: “The team understands the commercial reality of transactions and provides practical legal solutions.”
